Todd Strause | President/CEO

Todd Strause graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BS in Business Economics in 1992. Mr. Strause started his career in 1991, while in college, working for an automotive marketing firm. After graduation, he stayed on with the start-up where he helped to accelerate the growth of the business.

 

In 1995, Mr. Strause ventured out and started Strategic Marketing, Inc. Mr. Strause has served as President and CEO of Strategic Marketing for 25 years and has guided the business through different transformations over the years, becoming one of the most innovative and respected marketing companies in the automotive space.

 

Throughout Todd’s career, he has focused on leveraging the power of data to develop innovative products that help drive client success. Whether it’s running a business, developing marketing products or helping a client identify unseen opportunities, Todd’s belief that data is power and whoever understands the data wins in the end, has been a foundational guiding principle.

 

Mr. Strause has several accomplishments in his career, including being named a finalist for Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year”. In addition, under his leadership, Strategic Marketing has won numerous regional and national awards for growth and innovation, including being a multi-year winner of the Dealer Choice Award as the “Best” marketing company in the Automotive Industry, recipient of Louisville’s Business First Fast 50 Award and winner of the “Best Places to Work” in Kentucky.

 

Todd is also a member of several organizations, including the Direct Mailing Association (DMA), NADA Allied Member, Young Entrepreneur Organization (YEO) and Young President’s Organization (YPO).

Chuck Urevick | CFO/COO

Chuck joined Strategic Marketing in 2013 with 25+ years of action-oriented, executive management experience. He has a broad range of experience leading Finance, Operations and Customer Service teams. Chuck brings a strong continuous improvement background and a keen customer centric focus to the organization.

 

Prior to joining Strategic, Chuck spent 10 years as the Vice President of Finance at Nashua Corporation. He also spent substantive time in operational management roles at Newell-Rubbermaid and Batesville Casket Company.

 

Chuck graduated with distinction from Centre College of Kentucky where he earned BS degrees in Financial Economics and Applied Mathematics. He later earned his MBA degree with a concentration in Finance at the Indiana University, Kelly Graduate School of Business.

Mike Wagner | CIO

Mike joined SMI in 2015, bring 25+ years of experience in the global technology market with an emphasis on building “fit for purpose” software applications.

 

Over his career, Mike has co-founded and lead software development at multiple global companies. Including Epicor Software, where he successfully build the company’s “Managed Services” division, contributing in Epicor’s revenue growth from $75 million to $500 million annually.

 

More recently, Mike has leveraged his experience and talents towards dilligence efforts for Accel-KKR, a private equity firm focused in the mid-market technology space.

 

Mike graduated from Eastern Kentucky University where he received a Bachelors of Science degree.

Eric Bass | Director of Sales Development

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Eric Bass is the Training and Development leader at Strategic Marketing. Bass is certified to deliver coursework from Huthwaite, Achieve Global, Wilson Learning, and Performance Dynamics. For nearly 14 years, Bass has honed his skills for facilitation and coaching by working with high performance sales teams at Fortune 200 companies including Humana, Cardinal Health and Northwestern Mutual. In addition to his training and development experience, he spent 3 years as a Regional Sales Manager targeting the Midwest and Canada for a large packaging distributor.

 

Bass holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Spalding University and a Master’s degree in Education and Training and Development from the University of Louisville. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, listening to music, playing guitar as well as he can, keeping fit and sampling as much food as possible.

Bill Tabor | Vice President of Sales

Bill Tabor, a native of Louisville, KY, began his career in the automotive business with Ford Motor Company. After 8-years with Ford, his career path evolved, and he joined Strategic Marketing. Since joining Strategic in 2004, Bill has continued to grow and advance in his positions within the company.

 

His leadership and ability to build partnerships has led to his role as a Vice President of Sales and the lead contact for several of our OEM Partnerships.

 

He enjoys spending time with his wife of 24 years and his two daughters.  When he isn’t busy remodeling his home, he is traveling to watch his daughters play collegiate field hockey.

Todd Siegel | Vice President of Sales

Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Todd Siegel is one of our Vice President of Sales for Strategic Marketing. Todd began his career with us in 2010 and has achieved this role by consistently achieving his sales objectives and building strong relationships with dealers and his core customer target base.

 

Previously Todd worked for Coca-Cola for 13-years, where he achieved the role of Senior Key Account Manager by managing all key business indicators of sales and marketing for Coca-Cola’s largest customer. Later, Todd switched roles from selling to buying and became the Senior Category Manager for Beverages at Thornton Oil for 3-years.

 

Siegel holds an MBA in Business Administration as well as a BA in Business Administration from Bellarmine University. In his spare time, Todd enjoys working on his house, cooking, playing golf, and cheering on the University of Louisville Cardinals! Todd has two children. He likes to travel with his daughter to her club volleyball matches and watching his son’s track meets.

Brian Moeglin | Vice President of Sales

Brian Moeglin, a native of Murphysboro, Il, joined Strategic Marketing in 2013 and currently serves as a Vice President of Sales. This position is achieved through his management, training, and building partnerships on a regional and national scale. He uses his education in data analysis to develop strong ties with dealerships.

 

Brian attended Southeast Missouri State, where he played collegiate baseball, which continued by spending 5-years in the minor leagues, as well as a stint in Europe.  After his athletic career ended, he recognized the power in data analysis through the formulation and funding for a non-profit in NY, where he was instrumental in the approval of multiple grants. He then went on to manage a mitigation department for a well-known bank, where he helped guide them through the financial crisis that followed the 2008 collapse.

 

Brian is an avid sports fan, especially his Chicago teams, in particular, the Chicago Cubs. Brian loves spending time with his wife Suzy and his three children Jordan, Payton, and Dawson. The family can always be found together at one of their sporting events, or on the hiking trails around Louisville.
